New Hotel Brand is Seeking a Visionary Hotel General Manager to Lead Excellence and Elevate Guest Experiences in the Louisville, KY Market

A new hotel, designed to serve the largest and fastest growing segment of Louisville, KY, is coming to town and we are looking for the right person to lead its growth. This person will fill the role of the Hotel General Manager (GM) and be able to oversee all aspects of a start-up hotel's operations to ensure smooth functioning and guest satisfaction.

To excel with our company, you will possess a unique blend of skills, traits, and qualities that enable you to effectively lead a new hotel with a powerful mission. Here are some of your necessary key qualities:

  • Being able to inspire, motivate, and guide your team while setting a positive example, providing direction, resolving conflicts, and fostering a supportive work environment.
  • Being able to clearly and effectively communicate with staff, guests, vendors, and other stakeholders regularly while resolving issues diplomatically.
  • Prioritizing guest satisfaction and ensuring that every guest's needs are met promptly and courteously.
  • Possess strong business acumen to manage the financial aspects of the hotel effectively including budgeting, forecasting, revenue management, cost control, and strategic decision-making to optimize profitability while maintaining high standards of service and quality.
  • Being adaptable and resourceful, able to think on your feet and find creative solutions to problems as they arise.

WHAT YOU ARE GREAT AT: (Responsibilities)

We are looking for a person that has accomplished many of the following tasks:

  • Leadership: The Hotel GM will be able to show strong leadership in their past job experiences for an entire hotel staff, inspiring others to perform at their best while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Financial Management: The Hotel GM understands the importance of monitoring the hotel's financial performance on a daily, weekly and monthly time frame, including revenue, expenses, and profitability. In so doing, the Hotel GM can work with the corporate leadership to develop and implement strategies to optimize the financial results of the hotel.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Knowing that a hotel is only as good as its guests’ experience, the Hotel GM will have proven, from past positions, exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of service quality, cleanliness, and comfort throughout the hotel while fostering an environment that generates return business.
  • Staff Management: Recruiting, training, and managing hotel staff, including front desk personnel, housekeeping staff, and administrative employees is integral to a successful hotel operation. The Hotel GM will oversee the development of their staff and reward their team through our corporate philosophy of promotion from within.
  • Operations and Renovations Management: Overseeing day-to-day operations of the hotel, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and administrative functions. The Louisville location will be undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation project and the successful GM will be able to manage an operating hotel while the property is brought up to the standards of the new flag.
  • Sales and Marketing: Building upon their past experience in the hospitality world, the successful applicant will develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to attract guests and maximize occupancy rates. This includes advertising, promotions, and maintaining relationships with travel agencies and corporate clients and on-line travel sites.
  • Quality Control: Monitoring and maintaining the high quality standards of our brand in all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, amenities, and customer interactions will be an important aspect of the GM’s role.
  • Safety and Security: Our hotels are designed to provide a safe and secure experience for all of our guests. The GM will be equipped to ensure the safety and security of all guests and staff by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures and emergency procedures including 24/7/365 360 degree security operations.
  • Community Relations: Finally, our hotels provide a useful service to the communities that we live in. Building positive relationships with the local community, including government officials, businesses, and residents, to enhance the hotel's reputation and support its operations is part of our corporate mission. The right person for this position will be an ambassador of our flag in the community and will herald our mission throughout the community.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH:

The Hotel General Manager will work closely with the Regional and Corporate Property Managers, the Renovation Manager, the Project Manager, the Revenue Manager and Asset Manager, as well as interact with the co-Founders of the hotel chain.
